Sharon's Challenge

This pattern has not been tested after being written out.

Sharon Briggs challenges other tatters to make a snowflake based on this picture. I could not resist and here is the result.

You need two shuttles and know hot to handle split rings (SplR). The work is done with the primary shuttle unless other is noted. 

The diagram show how the work is done. Red lines show work done with the primary shuttle (Shuttle 1) and blue lines show work done with the secondary shuttle (Shuttle 2).

1st row

SplR: 4/2(R1: 3-3-3-7)2.
R: 9-9
SplR: 4/2(R2: 7-3-3-3)2.
SplR:6-6.
R: 18-18.
Shuttle 2: R3: 3+3-3. Attach to the last picot at R2.  Switch back to shuttle 1.
SplR:6-6.
